What’s with all the pirate imagery? Isn’t a little corny?

To the uninitiated, perhaps it is. But to me, the core of who pirates were in the mid-17th century speaks to me deeply. Not the caricature of the treasure-digging Hollywood swashbucklers, but the real men and women who sailed the Caribbean and elsewhere during that time. You may have the impression of pirates as being ruthless murderers and thieves. And I won’t argue some weren’t. But those involved during the Golden Age of Piracy were a whole lot more.
